De tweede release van Carlama Orkestar, Servisch voor ‘uitzinnige feestorkest’ borduurt voort op hun succesvolle debuutalbum ‘Barabe’ uit 2006. Op ‘Mecka Bela’ worden de saxofoons, variërend van alt tot bas, wederom fabuleus ingezet zodat je als luisteraar de – normaal in dit genre verwachte – trompetten en tuba geen seconde mist.

Yes! We succeeded! Two amazing guests will spice up our new album Mecka Bela release concert, on November 1st @North Sea Jazz Club in Amsterdam. Saxophone player Hans Dulfer and Ethiopian Singer/Dancer Minyeshu will go Balkan with us! We hope all our fans to be there and enjoy this experience with us. Can’t wait!

- Farewell Behsat!
On February 22 we had to say farewell to our good friend and band member Behsat.
Besides being a great musician, amazing multi instrumentalist, tremendous vocalist and many more, he was also a fighter. An illness that takes mostly a short period to take over, couldn’t get a grip on him for three years. He was not giving up until the last moment. In the whole last period he would still be going with us on tour or playing concerts, in between the chemotherapy. His determination had no borders.
